Learn to Play It Takes a Lot to Laugh, it Takes a Train to Cry on Guitar

I ride on a mail train baby, hangin by a thrill…

One of my favorite Bob Dylan songs is a simple but lyrically genius one called “It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry” from Dylan’s album Highway 61 Revisited.

Dylan made musical history with his performance of “It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry” at his 1965 performance at the Newport Folk Festival, where he stunned audiences by performing his first electrified set.

Hope you enjoy strumming along with this absolute classic.
